What Penguins Teach Us
January 20th was Penguin Awareness Day – and – April 25th was World Penguin Day (yesterday). Did you celebrate?
It seems that if the penguin has two days dedicated to it, we should be paying attention (at least once for awareness, and once to pay attention to migration!).
We all know the story of the “March of the Penguins” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_of_the_Penguins – if you haven’t seen that film, give it a watch while you’re isolating. Penguins do a lot to survive, to breed, and to protect their young.
And yesterday, Nat Geo Wild posted an adorable video on facebook of a penguin named Tahi coming out of quarantine (see button link below). Tahi quickly assimilated with new friends. Kinda heart-warmin’ and inspirational for us too. We will come through this.

We can’t travel right now – so we have to keep dreamin’. And maybe learning what Penguins can teach us.
Here are 5 interesting facts about penguins. https://weather.com/en-IN/india/science/news/2020-04-25-world-penguin-day-five-interesting-facts-adorable-swimming-bird
Did you know that they are waterproof, once a year they shed all their feathers, they have a perfect body for swimming, they can drink saltwater, and five species are endangered?
Penguins can teach us to love, to protect our young, to throw off the past, to adapt to your environment, and to pay attention to climate change. Oh – and how to come out of quarantine!
