Colombia and Columbia

Colombia & Columbia. They are not the same!

When I was in South America in July, I bought this mug. “It’s Colombia not Columbia.”

I bet you didn’t know there was a whole social media campaign based on that phrase. See here

Some of the phrases used: “Colombia is where famed artist Fernando Botero hails from; Columbia is a university in New York.” or “The coffee you drank this morning might be from Colombia; Your outerwear might have been made by Columbia.” 🙂

Of course, there’s also the Columbia River and British Columbia.
So, let’s have a look at some trips to Colombia. It has a lot more to offer than stories of Pablo Escobar. I was pleasantly surprised to see what a beautiful country it really is.  See some of my blogs from my July trip here:

My top 3 active trips from my newsletter this past week will have some active travel trips to Colombia. And, I’m extending the sneak peek at Colombia in my highlighted VAST suppliers, but also have nods to Columbia – both the Columbia River, and British Columbia.
