Polynesia

Beach thoughts always make me think of Hawaii. We were there in March, and I want to go back again soon! There’s so much to Hawaii beyond sun and sand, thought – you can get your day of ‘fly ‘n flop’ – but then, ‘stop ‘n sop’ and enjoy everything that Hawaii offers in terms of activities and culture.

Hawaii and Polynesian culture is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. And now that we’re all back into January, of course, it’s time to think about escaping to better weather, and sunny days, and some Polynesia.
Most people think of Polynesia as being Hawaii and French Polynesia (Tahiti et al), and it is, of course. But there are many other islands in the list that comprises Polynesia.
The geographical area is referred to as the Polynesia triangle, and its three ends of the ‘triangle’ are Hawaii, New Zealand, and Rapa Nui.
And Britannica defines:

Polynesian culture, the beliefs and practices of the indigenous peoples of the ethnogeographic group of Pacific Islands known as Polynesia (from Greek poly ‘many’ and nēsoi ‘islands’). Polynesia encompasses a huge triangular area of the east-central Pacific Ocean. The triangle has its apex at the Hawaiian Islands in the north and its base angles at New Zealand (Aotearoa) in the west and Easter Island (Rapa Nui) in the east. It also includes (from northwest to southeast) TuvaluTokelauWallis and FutunaSamoa (formerly Western Samoa), American SamoaTongaNiue, the Cook IslandsFrench Polynesia (Tahiti and the other Society Islands, the Marquesas Islands, the Austral Islands, and the Tuamotu Archipelago, including the Gambier Islands

[formerly the Mangareva Islands]), and  Pitcairn Island. At the turn of the 21st century, about 70 percent of the total population of Polynesia resided in Hawaii.

Epic Polynesia – Lindblad Expeditions
A 17 day Cruise through Epic Polynesia – May.24.18
I have access to a tremendous offer from Lindblad Expeditions for my Canadian passport holder clients (sorry if you’re an American client – it’s still a great offer for you too, just in regular USD pricing).
For Canadian residents, I have a special offer starting Monday, Jan.22.18 for a couple of weeks. It is based on availability, so if it interests you, please contact me asap. It essentially is equivalent to giving you Canadian at par pricing for the USD priced cruise. You still have to pay in USD, but, since Vision sells so much Lindblad, and we’re getting hurt by the exchange rate still, Lindblad has created a private sale for Vision Canada clients who live in Canada.
There are several dates, but the one that we have on private sale is:
May.24.18
17 day
Epic Polynesia
Cook Islands to Fiji on NG Orion
See details here:
Whatever pricing is listed there for USD, Canadian residents would essentially be paying that amount in Cdn. Contact me for the exact amount (there is a currency exchange rate that Lindblad has factored in to get the rough equivalent.)  I’ll have full details tomorrow.
Want to be further tempted (besides a 30% or so price break?)
