Portugal

Portugal

Portugal remains one of the hottest destinations for 2020. I think it’s been on the top 20 lists for the past 3 years. Have you been yet? Want to go?

Here are 22 reasons why everyone wants to go to Portugal, outlining everything from the country’s time-worn charm, to cities like Porto, to wine, to Harry Potter, to Madeira, to being Europe’s Hawaii, to the Douro River, to it’s wonderful value, and much more besides  22 things . And here’s another article that also espouses the Unesco World Heritage sites, the food, the weather, and more. See  Why Portugal is Europe’s Hottest Destination

So, are you ready to go? It’s the new year, right? You’d made all those resolutions a couple of weeks ago. Wasn’t ‘have more fun’ and ‘travel more’ on the list? (If not, it should have been! :-)…)

In this week’s ezine, I’m taking the time to highlight a couple of ways to travel to Portugal. I have outlined some scheduled and escorted group land travels, a cruise, and a river cruise or two. The Douro river is really popular right now, and those river cruises often sell out far in advance of travel. I also have a solo traveler tour in September, where everyone has their own room. (You don’t have to be single – just solo.) There are lots of ways to see Portugal.

If any of the specific trips I’ve highlighted below might interest you, please contact me to book – I’ll waive my engagement fee for you (and then you can book your own air, and/or we can engage the services of my air desk to sort the air for a small fee). And in many cases with my Virtuoso partners like Tauck and Uniworld and others, there are special perks you cannot get if you book on your own, so make sure you book through me.

Of course, if you want me to customize a trip to Portugal and/or it’s neighboring country Spain, and/or you’d like a long term stay; of course we can work together to do that too. I’ve sent many families and small groups to Portugal over the last couple of years, and I have built relationships with feet-on-the-ground experts there; so I can leverage those relationships to help you travel.

So let’s tempt you a bit more to get you to Portugal.
