Proud to Be a Change-Maker

Did you miss me last week? Sorry, I was an exhibitor at the Ottawa Travel and Vacation show (see more below), and missed getting my weekly Sunday newsletter out. But I'm happy to be back in the routine this week.

And, I'm also happy to share that I've some exciting news. This week, I was selected by G Adventures/ National Geographic Journeys to be one of 15 advisors across Canada (and one of 100 selected globally) to be invited to their inaugural Change Makers Summit in Peru from June 2 to 9, 2019. I got the news that I was a "Change-Maker" by special notification from my national sales representative, Paul Lai.

Here's the invite:

By changing lives through travel with the work you do every day, you’ll be able to join nearly 100 Agents of Change from around the globe (as well as some special guests from G Adventures!) for a week filled with purpose, passion, and positive impact. In Peru, you’ll get to see firsthand how our social enterprise model works to change lives through travel all over the world. We thrilled you can join us for this incredible week of destination highlights, and immersive G Adventures experiences!

So, stay tuned. I'm sure I'll have lots to share as a newly minted Change-Maker. But, I also will be learning a lot more about G Adventures and National Geographic Journeys. As you may know, sustainable tourism is a passion of mine, and I love for my clients to make a difference when they travel.

Do you know about G Adventure/ National Geographic Journey's focus on responsible tourism?
