This one is a first for me, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it.
I’m hosting a Sable Island expedition with Adventure Canada July 19-26.28 — Wild Horses & Outpost Legacy — aboard the Ocean Nova, a true small ship carrying a maximum of just 75 passengers. If you know anything about Sable Island, you know that’s exactly the point. Access there is tightly restricted, landings are weather-dependent, and a ship this size is part of what makes visiting responsibly even possible.
Sable Island sits far off the coast of Nova Scotia — a crescent of sand in the open Atlantic, famous for its free-roaming wild horses and its centuries of shipwrecks and survival stories. It’s not a place most travellers will ever set foot on. That’s exactly why I wanted to bring a small group of Lush Lifers with me.
Here’s what makes this trip even more interesting if you have the time:
This Sable Island departure links up beautifully with two other Adventure Canada expeditions this same season in 2028:
- Newfoundland Circumnavigation — sailing beforehand, July 8–19
- Greenland & Labrador — departing St. John’s on July 26, arriving in Greenland August 9 (with a charter flight option back to Toronto)
Book more than one of these expeditions in the same year, and you’ll receive 30% off the voyages (the multi-expedition discount doesn’t apply to add-on land packages, but it’s a meaningful saving if you’re building out a bigger Atlantic Canada and North Atlantic season).
I’ll have more details soon — including a proper guide to Sable Island itself — but spots on a 75-guest ship move quickly, especially on a hosted departure. If Sable Island, or stringing it together with Newfoundland and Greenland & Labrador, sounds like your kind of Return on Life, hit reply and I’ll walk you through it.
Live Life. Love Travel. Return on Life. ❤️
