Windows on the World

Last week, I talked about how much we missed travel.

This week – how about we look at some Windows on the World. Let’s do aa Window Swap.

I just learned about this website from a friend. And – it’s addictive.
What is WindowSwap?  Here’s what they post on their about link.

Let’s face it. We are all stuck indoors.

And it’s going to be a while till we travel again.

Window Swap is here to fill that deep void in our wanderlust hearts by allowing us to look through someone else’s window, somewhere in the world, for a while.

A place on the internet where all we travel hungry fools share our ‘window views’ to help each other feel a little bit better till we can (responsibly) explore our beautiful planet again.

Let’s travel without moving. Let’s WindowSwap.

It’s a neat website that has you clicking to open a new window around the world. And – it’s not “live.” I guess they need safeguards to ensure people aren’t streaming porn, crimes, violence etc, and they have people submit videos to be vetted. I just checked here it says you have to Record a 10 minute, horizontal HD video of your view with part of your window frame in the shot, and . and Rename the video with your name and location for credits (if possible). And there you go – you share it.

So, while that pesky virus is still lurking around , and we wait for the vaccine, open a window around the world – and let’s get dreaming about where you’d like to go. You can swap windows with spots in Russia, New York, Brazil, and more.

We are all connected.

Give this a try to see Windows on the World – do a Window Swap.

And let me know where you’d like to go!
