A special trip with Greaves Tours
My daughter and I had a special trip with Greaves Tours to India. What an amazing time! We toured orphanages in Delhi (including Mother’s Teresa’s oprhanage) and rode a rickshaw, we had a private guide explain all the wonders of the Taj Mahal to us in Agra, we rode an elephant in Jaipur, relaxed in the lake district of Udaipur, and visited the Dabbawalas and laundry in Mumbai. Wow!
If you’ve seen the movies “Lion” or “Slumdog Millionaire” – you got a taste of Mumbai. The movie “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” was filmed in Jaipur and Udaipur, and the movie “Octopussy” was filmed at the Lake Palace in Udaipur. Take a tour of those movies to see what we’d seen.
But – if you want to visit India, I highly recommend going the way we did. We never had a moment’s worry or concern with Greaves. Every single thing was taken care of. Did you know that Greaves only offers the Indian sub-continent? They specialize, and it shows. Their local reps met us at the airport, or at the hotel when we were driven. Their cars and drivers were fantastic. The local guides we had in each location were extremely knowledgeable and wonderful. And the touring was fantastic. We stayed in all Oberoi hotels, and toured and dined in all Taj hotels along the way. It was magnificent, and the trip of a lifetime for my daughter and I. Here are some picitures.
