Lovely first day in Rome! After an overnight flight we took a short nap and then joined the walking food and wine tour – thanks Sheila Gallant-Halloran for booking this for us! Our guide was amazing and full of interesting food and historical information. The stops on the tour included the oldest deli in Rome, still run by the original family, for fresh buffalo mozzarella and cured meats, a bakery for two types of pizza, appetizers in the historic Jewish Ghetto, amazing pasta and wine, and the last stop – fresh gelato! Wow! So good!

Sheila, we’re so grateful that you and your travel partner arranged the driver from the airport! We were so tired after the flight and he was easy to find with a sign for us, took our luggage, and led us to his cool car with water waiting. Wonderful!
