With Crystal Cruises move to all-inclusive sailings in 2012 (which includes all gratuities ad drinks) , they’ve also begun a brand new campagin called “Begin a New Story.”
The idea, as reported in the July 30th edition of the Canadian Travel Press, is to challenge readers to start their own journal of memories on their Crystal Cruise. A marketing campaign of print, brochures, and social media also “has animated films that bring to life three individuals’ personal experiences running online and available via smartphone…”
There’s an iphone app, and facebook “never ending journal” section compiles photo submissiions into an online group journal categorized by cruise. Clients are encourage to snap a pic, and use the app to add pro-style effects and share the inage – either on their own facebook page, Crystal’s facebook page, or via email. see https://www.facebook.com/crystalcruises/app_265063546914411

As Cannadian Travel Press reports, “The 2013 line-up features 64 itineraries worldwide, highlighted by 226 ports in 62 countries and 16 maiden calls. The schedule includes 25% more port days than 2012 and more than a 50% increase in shipboard overnight stays in port on embarkation day.”
