Disney’s resorts aren’t just limited to Orlando, and Anaheim in the states. There’s also Hilton Head in South Carolina, which opened in 1996.
The family property is on a secluded island in the Shelter Cove Harbour area and has the feel of an old fishing lodge. South Carolina charm with 12 miles of beautiful beach on Hilton Head Island- sounds like a pretty good combo for a terrific vacay. There is lots of shopping, championship golf, horseback riding, tennis, and campfires for activities – and if you ever want to venture offsite, the terrific cities of Savannah and Charleston aren’t far away.
At Hilton Head resort, you can stay in a deluxe studio, or a one-, two-, or three-bedroom spot. Rooms include private porches or balconies, decked out kitchens, king or queen bedding, master suites with whirlpools, and washer and dryers.
There’s plenty of good eats to choose from too. (There’s a snack bar on property – so other than that, you cook your own meals, after venturing to the local grocery store; or you take advantage of the great local restaurants.) There is a Big Dipper Pool feature pool with water slide, and a Little Dipper children’s pool; as well as kids programming and a fitness centre (and a Big Buoy Arcade). And, of course, concierge service with cast members around to offer assistance.
