On March 13th, I was invited to attend the “Jump Into Ireland” event with the Tourism Board of Ireland.
And what better than the week of St. Patrick’s Day to toast Ireland, drink a Guinness, and learn more about the new tourism opportunities to visit Ireland.
Of course, 2013 is the year of “the gathering.” Anyone of Irish heritage (or would like to be) is invited to come home to Ireland. Tourism is hot, hot, hot for 2013.
There are the regular tour operators that have been selling Ireland to Canadians for years…
Folks like Royal Irish Tours http://d456391.preview26.radonicrodgers.net/welcome/\
and CIE http://www.cietours.com/us/
along with Transat Holidays, who is offering multiple flights per week out of Toronto, and Montreal… and Trafalgar and Globus.
But it was neat to learn about Ireland Golf Tours http://www.irishtourism.com/golf-tours-of-ireland , as well as an Irish Literary Tour http://www.irishtourism.com/8-night-self-drive-tours/literary-tour-of-ireland/2850 and a craft and knitting tour http://www.irishtourism.com/7-night-or-more-group-tours/9-night-knitting-craft-tour-of-ireland-/3334 .
And, of course, there’s my Virtuoso partner, http://adamsandbutler.com/ – my onsite destination specialist for Ireland, who can customize a holiday to suit your specific needs.
Visit Ireland. And go check out The Gathering.
