On a recent Adventure by Disney trip to Ecuador and Galapagos Islands, we visited a rose plantation in the Andean Highlands.
We learned that Ecuador is the #1 exporter of roses in the world (but in terms of exports for the country, roses are #4 in significance after oil, bananas, coffee/ cocoa.)
They certainly have the climate to grow them! And, the plantation we visited is all organic. It uses netting and scented plants to keep the mosquitos/ insects away. No chemicals!
