On a recent whirlwind trip to Vancouver, I had a few moments to meet up with my Virtuoso partner, Timothy Edgecombe, of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia.
Timothy graciously met me at the end of the business day, and gave me a quick tour of his lovely hotel.
As their website notes, it is “the city’s most historic retreat.” http://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/hotelgeorgia/
First opened in 1927 in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Hotel Georgia came to be known as the city’s most elegant retreat. The Georgian Revival structure welcomed a who’s who of the entertainment world to British Columbia, including Elvis Presley, Nat “King” Cole, Katharine Hepburn and British royalty. The legendary boutique hotel, unveiled July 2011 as Rosewood Hotel Georgia, now features 156 guest accommodations, Sense, A Rosewood Spa® and signature fine dining restaurant by renowned Chef David Hawksworth. 2012 Honors: Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List; AAA Four-Diamond Award; TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
What a lovely hotel.
With award-winning restaurants, like Hawksworth.
To cafes and sandwich spots.
To the outdoor restaurant and bar Reflections.
To really cool rooms with elegant bathrooms.
And neat pools and amenities (including a Bentley to take guests on a city tour).
As a Vision 2000 affiliate, I am a Virtuoso partner. So that means I can VIP my clients staying at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, and I can negotiate special amenities on their behalf. (And have Timothy take special care of you!)
For 2013, Virtuoso amenities include an upgrade on arrival (subject to availability), continental breakfast daily for up to two in room guests, and a $100 resort or hotel credit.
As well, Vision 2000 and I are Rosewood elite members… so there are often special rates that I can extend to my clients as well.
I know where I’ll be staying next time I visit Vancouver. And I know where I’ll be sending clients!
Thanks, Timothy, for the great tour!
