I did a training with Royal Caribbean this week about their brand new ship, the Quantum – and I had to share it with you.
The Quantum is the brand new RCI ship, but it was especially built for the Asian market -which means North American folks will only have a short time to sail on it before it repositions to Asia in April 2015. The Quantum will have a home base in China for the next several years.
This ship (and, to a slightly lesser degree, the other recent RCI additions, the Oasis and the Allure) combines everything you might love about Vegas (not just Broadway-style shows – but actual Broadway productions), with Club Med type activities (skydiving/ ripcord, flo-riders, trapeze school) onboard – plus the Quantum also has bumper cars, a North Star arm that can carry guests over the water, and a multitude of other activities, fine and casual dining, and fantastic family fun.
The entire Quantum ship (along with the Oasis and Allure sister ships) was built to engage teens and their families. The Quantum of the Seas in particular is built to be the most technologically advanced ship there is – it has a robot bar, for example.

Plus – it has 2 cruises from New York to Bahamas in April (so you could even go visit Bahamas, and maybe visit Atlantis for the day if you wanted to leave the ship) – and it has a Southern Caribbean cruise in April too
