What a wonderful few days I had in New Orleans.
It was my first visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in "The Big Easy" - I had coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde, heard jazz in the street as well as at dinner (and a special visit to Snug Harbor to hear Ellis Marsalis), did a walking tour of the French Quarter (and saw Bourbon Street), ate some wonderful food, visited with old friends, attended a crawfish cookout, learned to cook New Orleans style, and had a visit to the Whitney Museum slave plantation. Oh, and learned a lot about Queensland, Australia too (more on that next week.)
If you'd like to visit New Orleans, give me a call, and I can arrange your holiday for you. It was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back.
