My colleague, Janet Lavern, and I recently got to tour the Seabourn Quest when it was in the port of Montreal. It is a beautiful ship, and we really enjoyed the opportunity to go onboard and “taste and feel” it.
I had sailed on the Seabourn Spirit in December, and while that is a lovely 200 passenger ship (so small the guy who plays the guitar in the lounge at night takes your tender tickets to go ashore in the morning), I was interested to see the differences with a 458 passenger ship.
Many fans of the smaller ships were very disappointed with the sale of the Spirit, Pride, and Legend to Windstar; and the smaller ships do have the sense of intimacy that is missing from the larger ship – just on a size of scale. But the larger (if you consider 450 pax large) ships like the Quest have the same “spirit” of the smaller cousins – just with more space, options for entertainment, options for dining, etc.
I loved it.
Have a look at some pictures from my tour. And give me a call if you’d like to book your own visit on this wonderful ship.
