Virtuoso Hotel Booking Program

I was selected to be one of top advisors across Canada to pilot Virtuoso’s new hotel booking engine.  You’ve heard me mention Virtuoso before – it’s the luxury travel network I belong to that connects me to the best of the best hoteliers, cruise lines, destination management companies, tour companies, and other travel suppliers around the planet.

The Virtuoso hotel program is a way to reward loyalty, and give clients special perks that they cannot go on their own.  So, you can always contact me to book a Virtuoso hotel, and I will leverage my relationships to VIP you, and negotiate special amenities on your behalf.

Maybe you can’t sleep at 2 am one morning, and want to do some shopping on your own. Well, the new Virtuoso hotel booking program online will now let you do some shopping for a hotel, and still have your travel associated with me – but – you can also make a hotel booking online with them.

Want to see how it works? Go to www.virtuoso.com and check out the hotel tab. If you pull up The Pierre hotel , and punch in Jan.25-Feb.1, you see these rates and room categories I have below – but – you won’t see the word “Virtuoso” next to the rate. You have to log in with a Virtuoso account, and assign me as your travel advisor, for it to flag that you are a Virtuoso client.

What are the special amenities you get at The Pierre if you are a Virtuoso client of mine?  Well, the Pierre, a Taj hotel, in New York City offers:

If you’ve already set up a Virtuoso account, you can see the following on www.virtuoso.com if you check staying at the Pierre for Jan.25th for a week – getting an overview of room categories, rates, and the “book” button. If you book from that website, and have affiliated me as your travel advisor, I’ll make sure you get the Virtuoso amenities, and negotiate special amenities on your behalf, leveraging my relationships with these Virtuoso partners. (If you are shopping online, you will not see Virtuoso if you are not signed in as a virtuoso client, and you will not get Virtuoso amenities – and often will get a higher non-Virtuoso negotiated rate.)

Sound complicated? No worries – you can always book your Virtuoso hotel the regular way – just contact me to book your holidays and hotel bookings, of course. You will get the Virtuoso amenities still through me. This online hotel booking tool is just another tool in my toolkit – think of it as a back up tool to help you if you like to research, or you like to book after business hours, while still getting the Virtuoso VIP treatment, when the system lets me know to take over your booking, and still get you the Sheila treatment! 🙂
