This week, I attended the Virtuoso on Tour travel conference in Toronto. I stayed at the wonderful Park Hyatt in downtown Toronto, and had an awesome time reconnecting with travel partners from across the globe – and re-energizing friendships with folks I hadn’t seen in person since February 2020.
I met up with some good friends like Lesa Bain of Lindblad Expeditions, Neil Dudley of AMA Waterways. As well as friends and connections from the Four Seasons, Accor, Hyatt, Rocky Mountaineer, Uniworld, Avalon, Quark, Explora, Oceania, Seabourn, Windstar, SeaDream, and more.
Besides learning what’s new and exciting in all the areas of travel that I like to focus on (wellness, adventure, and bucket list travel), it was great to see people – face-to-face – again.
Yes, zoom kept us all going and connected through out the pandemic – but – it’s just not the same energy as seeing someone in real life.
And plans were made – oh boy, were plans made!
There’s going to be some really cool stuff happening with Lindblad in the near future.
And I’m also planning some great zooms with partners like the Four Seasons Sensei and Palmaia, House of Aia.
But I also met with tourism boards like Zagreb in Croatia, Los Cabos in Mexico, West Hollywood Tourism, Switzerland, and Cayman Islands Tourism – just to name a few.
I re-connected with hotelier partners like the Fairmonts Jasper Park Lodge, Chateau Lake Louise, Royal York, Chateau Lake Louise, Vancouver, and Pan Pacific – as well as some terrific new preferred partners like the Four Seasons, Belmond, Hyatt Prive, Accor, and Kai. I also met with properties in California, Florida, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Montenegro, Thailand, and more.
And I met with onsite destination partners who will help me plan your getaways to Peru, to Greece, to Italy and France, to Ireland, and to South Africa to Jordan and beyond. Some exciting things coming with Abercrombie & Kent too.
Essentially – I’m back to travelling to meet travel partners – so I can help you better travel the world.
Let me know if you’d like to learn more about any of the partners mentioned.
