I call myself a travel ADVISOR – not a travel AGENT.
Semantics? Not at all! Do you know why?
An AGENT represents the supplier. An agent pushes product. An agent represents Air Canada Vacations, Sunwing, Westjet Vacations, and Transat Holidays. An agent transacts sales, based on price. Agents push deals. They market without a message. And when an agent pushes products and deals, the only ones who show up are the price shoppers and the bargain hunters.
Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with looking to save money….But… if you’re looking for the lowest possible price to buy a cookie cutter package …then I’m probably not the best fit for you. That’s not what I’m about. There are plenty of online booking engines that can help you.
I am about providing VALUE.
And the value should focus on you! What is your “return on life?”
I am an ADVISOR. I am an advisor because I represent you. I don’t represent the supplier. I don’t push product. I don’t push you towards a certain hotel in Mexico because a preferred supplier (as defined by someone in corporate) has a glut of hotel rooms to move. Sure, I may work with preferred suppliers with whom I have established relationships (mostly, because I can trust them to help when issues arise). But, I have Virtuoso partners who VIP my clients, and give them the best possible vacation. I’m here to solve your problems. I find solutions to help your family. I work off your needs.
My clients don’t buy products or services. They buy solutions. They buy dreams. Lucky me! It’s my job to help them orchestrate their dreams. No wonder my tagline is “building memories, one travel dream at a time”
What travel dream do you have?
