Many of my clients are booking holidays. Most are a little nervous to travel now.
Often, the possibility of testing positive for CoVid at destination causes hesitation, and the worry about being quarantined before they can return home.
One of the things I do for my clients is to advise them about insurance, and the possible coverages that would protect them in that eventuality.
So – does the possibility of being quarantined on vacation impact your decision to travel now?
I put a poll up on linked in – Does the possibility of being quarantined on vacation impact your decision to travel now?
You can see the it here poll – are you worried about quarantine if you’d like to vote.
Or – you can let me know how you feel about it.
Are you worried and stalled, worried but still go with insurance, not worried as you weigh the risk, or not worried at all?
Regardless of where you fall in the concern area, did you know that there are insurance policies that can cover you getting CoVid while you’re travelling?
Insurance parameters keep changing, of course, and are dependent on government advisories as to whether we’re level 3 (avoid non-essential travel) or level 4 (do not travel).
Everything is in a state of flux right now of course, with new government advisories coming this week.
But – are you aware that Manulife, for one, has a CoVid pandemic plan, that covers vaccinated Canadians travelling?
Other countries and other insurers may have comparable plans.
With Manulife, there are medical questionnaires if you’re over 60 that you have to fill out, and if you’ve had CoVid in the past, you may have to consider pre-existing condition and stability periods. But – here’s a sample of a Manulife plan and what it might cover (depending on your risk situation, age, etc.).
Let me know if you’d like a quote for your planned holiday.
