I like to make sure all new clients know how I work, and what I do to help you organize, book, and ensure you enjoy the holiday as much as possible. Please let me share some info with you.
As owner of Lush Life Travel (an affiliate of Vision/ Direct Travel, and a top partner in the global luxury travel consortium Virtuoso), I help mature travelers live their lush life by successfully taking excellent bucket list adventures. Atop 20 years of financial risk management experience, I’ve invested another 16+ years travelling, certifying, and building my travel expertise; as well as forging relationships with top-notch travel supplier partners around the world. I leverage all my skills and experiences to help my clients (whether solos, couples, families, or groups) reduce risk, increase serenity, and connect with the broader world through travel. Previously as a financial actuary, I dealt with conventional return on investment (ROI); and now as a ‘happiness actuary,’ I deal with my clients’ RETURN ON LIFE (ROL).

I am a top producer in the world-wide Virtuoso luxury travel communities for Wellness Travel, Adventure Travel, and Voyages/ Cruise Travel (for river, expedition, and small ship cruising); and I am a committed advisor who is focused on Sustainability and Re-generative Travel.
But, my top producer success comes from my always having the main focus of everything I do being my client.
When I work with a client as their travel advisor, I am not a travel agent representing the supplier. Instead, as a travel advisor, I work as my client’s fiduciary. I act on behalf of my clients, put my clients’ interests ahead of my own , and act with a duty to always preserve good faith and trust. I act in my clients’ best interests.
I work with clients in this way from the very beginning.
I customize a client’s holiday, and matchmake the combination of travel supplier partners to build the trip and experience that is right for them. This may range from matchmaking a client to a river cruise company that best suits them (and sharing my beginner’s guide to river cruising), to helping them put together their bucket list trip to walk on the 7th continent, to putting together a wellness retreat to Costa Rica, to designing a safari to Kenya and Tanzania, to finding the perfect villa for a large multi-generational family reunion, to customizing a trip to Australia from rock to reef.
In working with clients, my first meeting with them is to discover what is most important to them. I schedule a consultation call, complete with client’s travel history and preferences. I work in collaboration with the client, and design a trip that puts together the best combination of travel supplier partners for them. I then begin the reserving process, and offer a range of itinerary planning tools to assist the client. Later, when my clients are experiencing the trip, I follow along, and can offer a range of ‘guardian angel’ services. Afterwards, when the client returns home, we debrief on the trip – what went well, and what might be improved for future trips.
